Adding Gas to the Flames
So it is a little late, but tonight's post is about adding gas to the flames. It is crazy because either I watched too much television today or I have seen it so many times this week. Why are men and women so quick to throw gas to the flames they have going? I swear I was catching up on some television today and just seen some instances where men were seriously burning their relationships up. I mean women are fully capable of doing the same, but for the men it can definitely be a little more incidental.
I never really understood until today why men say what they say in an heated argument. Today I learned that it could just be because they are trying to win by letting the woman win. That doesn't work all the time, but in these cases they kind of did. Think about it. Some men try to tell women what they want to hear in an argument just to get it over with and get to the makeup sex or whatever they want to move along to. Women sometimes either just say what they want to heat the argument up some more or try to "hurt" the males’ feelings.
Another thing women may do in an argument is use what was said by the other person in the argument and try to use it against that person. I often wonder why one person has to decide that they are correct or logical. Why can't you just be wrong even if you are really right? Is it that much of a dick swinging contest that one person can't just take one for the team? I swear some people just don't know when they are really pushing someone over the edge. Some people are even bold enough to know what type of fire they are starting and will do anything to keep it going.
Some arguments are over the littlest things going on in life. They might seem big to the person who is arguing over those things. The worst is when you are in an argument and you know you are wrong, but you are willing to just fight until the other person gives up. The thing that some couples in relationships just don’t get is that they do not have to be right all of the time. I do not know what it is with all this competition or all this fighting until the end crap is. When I get into to arguments with my boyfriend I just let his ass be right even if I know he is wrong. I let him figure out his wrongs for himself or just let him think he is right while I silently bask in my victory.
Bottom line is it is okay to be wrong even when you are right. Not everyone will win the race. Besides, slow and steady will always win the race.
