Mondern Romance
In this time I can’t help but to notice that people would rather date online than in person. I mean there are still those people out there who are hopeless romantics. There are so many different dating sites and events out in the world it isn’t even funny. It is not funny, but I am on the other side of this laptop dying of laughter. It is 2014 and there have been a lot of changes for the world of dating.
Some people go for the online thing, others go for the short term dating thing, and there are the normal people who actually stick with the traditional three dates. I am not going to lie I am definitely the three dates girl. Especially if we are going to be official and you are trying to get into this cootie cat. Even after three dates and us being official I would not give it up so soon or fast. You have to be worthy of this cat (laughing).
So, dating online is not only a modern thing, but it can be a difficult thing. You have all of those people out there catfishing, lying, and committing crimes it can be scary and intimidating. I will not be doing it at all in this lifetime. I don’t look down on it, but some people use Facebook and they need to remember that Facebook is not a dating site it is a social site. It kills me when people are in relationships for social reasons. Like, Why? Is it that hard to find a guy or gal out there that actually wants to be with you because they like you? All those gold diggers out there make it hard for people to find love.
The worst part is when you have been emotionally or physically scared from a previous relationship and you carry it on to your next. Like, get a grip. One thing you should do is make sure you have your shit together before you go on to the next person. Then, you have the closet daters and don’t even get me started there. A closet dater is someone who is dating someone, but is either embarrassed to put it out there publically or whatever tacky ass reasoning they may have. Anyway, so they are dating someone, but claiming to be single to anyone that does not meet their standard. I think it is the dumbest thing to use someone just to benefit you.
There is the short-term dating thing where you just do kind of a temporary thing. It’s like having a job just to go out and look for another. Then when you get another job you drop the other one like a bad habit. That is so wrong, but at the same time it seems kind of genius. I feel like it is a waste of time, but on the other hand you are testing the water. I think that type of dating could get messy, but it seems like it is that no strings attached kind of thing. I don’t think I could be in that type of dating environment it would probably get a little hostile.
Oh! There is also this thing called speed dating that the inner city people are really into. I wonder how that works out for them. Like how long that may last for others. I have heard of it and seen little of it, but I am like really wondering how long things last afterward. There are also the clingy daters out there. There is always that one person out there that has dated someone and left that person thinking that it was going to be more than that one date. I know it can be damaging, but it can also be a bad thing on the offender’s part. Why leave someone hanging?? Just let them down easy.
